Reporter cussed out by the LA LAKERS snitch's wife

Laura Lane covers the Lakers for ESPN.com. She wrote about that weird purple tutu thing that Vanessa Bryant wore on the floor the night Kobe (SNITCH) picked up his MVP award. Then after game 2 of the San Antonio series, Lane was leaving the Lakers locker room when Vanessa lit into her. Lane attributes it in part to the "rumors" of Kobe bonking one of the Laker Girls — "a hotter version of his wife who is also named Vanessa" — who has suddenly vanished from the squad.
So as I’m walking out of the Lakers locker room after some post-game interviews with the players, I pass Vanessa, who is sitting outside the locker room as usual with her two girls.

“Laura!” she screams (yes, she apparently knows my name). “Fuck you! You fucking bitch!”

“Excuse me?” I say, completely baffled as I look around me to see if there is someone else named Laura. No, there’s not.

Her daughters – ages 5 and 2 – are sitting next to her on the bench looking at their mom as she screams.

[More f-words ensue. Many more.]

I just stare at her. I’ve heard many stories about her from reporters, but this was unbelievable. Two of my friends from the LA Times told me how she cussed out one of them last season, because he said hi to her daughter. “Join the club, this means you’ve arrived,” said one reporter when word spread of my run-in with Vanessa. “She’s insane,” said another. “Everyone knows it.”

I'm in no way a TREE HUGGER but I like Orangutans. Well I like all animals, so what is the problem? Palm oil. As Glenn Hurowitz explains in the Los Angeles Times, palm oil "comes from the disappearing, ultra-carbon-rich rain forests of Indonesia and Malaysia, of which a whopping 25,000 square miles have been cleared and burned to make way for palm oil plantations. The burning releases enough carbon dioxide into the air to rank Indonesia as the No. 3 such polluter in the world. It also destroys the last remaining habitat for orangutans."
Hurowitz reports, it can also be found in many other foods: OREO's, Girl Scout cookies, Entenmann's chocolate-covered doughnuts, Chewy Chips Ahoy!, Orville Redenbacher's popcorn, Hershey's Kisses "Hugs," and Twix.
The great tragedy of all this palm oil use (about 30 million tons globally every year) is that it's so easily replaced by healthier vegetable oils, like canola, that come from significantly less-ecologically sensitive areas. Indeed, every single product I examined had either a variant or a competitor that didn't contain palm oil -- with no discernible effect on price or quality. The division is tougher this season and you can’t count on career seasons from Rodriguez and Posada or for Robinson Cano to have a monster second half. The Yankees also have a different manager.

The Yankees lost another game and another series. This loss might be cause for some action. The powers that be, Hank Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman might need to find something to boost this ballclub. In recent years the Yanks have made additions to the ballclub when they felt it was necessary. We’ve seen them get guys off the free agent market (Aaron Small, Roger Clemens), make in-season deals (Shawn Chacon,Wilson Betemit ) and we’ve seen them promote within the organization (Chien Ming Wang, Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera, and Joba Chamberlain).

Each of those moves have proved to be vital in terms of injecting life to a team that lacks the energy a $200 million ballclub should have. Granted, these moves have not led the Yanks to the World Series, but it has led them to the postseason. October baseball is a long way from now but it seems like years away with the way the Yankees have been playing.

Maybe the Steinbrenners need to buy the whole team "Golden Thongs" and quick

Being a NY Yankee fan is not all it is cracked up to be...People ten to think you are obnoxious immediately and yes we can be but not all the time. Now it has been along time since the Yanks had any homegrown young talent on the MAJOR LEAGUE ROSTER...It has been over 10 years since Jeter, Mariano and Posada were called up so with Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy and Joba I was excited...
That did not last long, Hughes has a cracked rib, Kennedy cant get a little leaguer out and Joba pitches one inning a game, if we are lucky..So recently David Dellucci hit a home run off Joba and on the next night Joba strikes him and shows some emotion by fist pump..Does not look at David Dellucci or show him up just gets pumped up...Well, you would think he burned his house down with how everyone is acting..
What makes it worse a former Yankee Goose Gossage comes out and says “That’s just not the Yankee way, what Joba did. Let everyone else do that stuff, but not a Yankee,” Gossage said by telephone on Saturday. “What I don’t understand is, the kid’s got the greatest mentor in the world in Mariano [Rivera]. He’s one of the leaders of the team, so you’d think it wouldn’t happen on that.
Goose Gossage is 57-years old and Joba Chamberlain is 22-years old.team, so Goose could be Joba's dad...22 year old playiing a game showing some excitement, hmm thats just wrong..Come on Goose get a grip..

Are you a bad side effect of my medication?

I started this blog today, to vent just a little. I sit here in my private office as a 36 y/o Vice President of a Mergers and Acquisitions company and god to I hate what is going on. I sit here and wonder what if, all day long.

I love my wife and kids and I would not change anything about that situation, but boy o boy would I go in a different direction when it comes to employment..The sickening thing, I asked for this job, I convinced the CEO of the company, that I could do better. ( I slowly tighten the tie around my neck and look for a sturdy high spot that could support my weight.)

With the economy in the toilet, a massive market has emerged in BULK REO. What that means is that banks are selling a bulk package of foreclosed hom for .40,.50,.60 on the dollar. The banks are getting killed so they are trying to recoup any amount of money they can. The problem with this is every piece of garbage in the world is trying to get involved. There are 2 types of people in this industry buyers and sellers, but here are so many so-called "BULK REO suppliers" who try and represent that they are direct to a BUYER or a SELLER for bulk purchases of $5M to several billion... and all they are is a link in a "daisy-chain" of referal brokers, each looking to get a little of the referral fee for putting the BUYER and the SELLER together.

The problem is that the real buyers and sellers are frustrated, having their time wasted by associating with the wrong people, the brokers and not the decision makers. This industry is a little like pro-ball... Many try-out but there are only a few positions to fill. Many of the institutions and the buying funds have these relationships already in place, without the need for broker-chains looking for a quick referral fee, misrepresenting, trying to earn it.

It can make you absolutely insane...I work direct with a private seller of these assets and, I must talk to a hundred "Broker types" a day, after you spend hours digging through the BS, you uncover they know someone who knows someone and that person once mentioned in passing he was interested. The money is life changing and that is why everyone gets involved but be honest and upfront about your relationship and it will make your job easier. I have closed 6 deals out of 125, that gives you some insight, on actually how difficulct it is...
